I came to UAB because it is only an hour from my hometown. Once I moved to UAB I realized there was much more opportunity here than I thought. One major thing that I love about UAB is the diversity. In my free time I love to go travel around Birmingham and visit places I have never been. I'm involved in many organizations here as an Orientation Leader, Tau Kappa Epsilon Brother, Resident Assistant, and a Spirit Program member. Originally I’m from Huntsville, AL and currently I’m a sophomore here at UAB pursuing a major in Nursing. After receiving my Bachelor’s in Nursing, I plan to go to Graduate School at UAB so I can be a Nurse Practitioner. At first, I didn’t want to come to UAB because both of my older sisters went here and I wanted to be independent of them. In the end, I chose to come to UAB because I knew that UAB has the best programs in the state for what I want to do with my life. I am so glad I chose to come here! After the first semester of getting adjusted to college, I completely fell in love with the city and the people. I am involved with the Dean’s Nursing Scholars Program, Active Minds, Cru, UAB Undergraduate Admissions, Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Fraternity, Outdoor Pursuits, and other organizations at UAB. Feel free to ask me any questions about getting involved! Lastly, one fun fact about me is that I have visited 15 of the 50 United States and plan to see every single one before I die.

I came to UAB from Michigan to be closer to some family and because UAB seemed like a great place for opportunity (which it has been). In my free time I love to go to coffee shops, have a blast at concerts, hang with friends, and play PC games.
